Noise Petals Live
directed by
Mad Pirvan
Experimental Electronic and Nordic Noir duo DIGITAL ROSES present NOISE PETALS, a kaleidoscopic quasi-opera directed by Mad Pirvan and written by Getrude Veremu. This multidisciplinary performance was created with a rich and broad intersectional community of disabled, queer, and POC creatives and performers.Drawing from Veremu's experience as a Black, queer, neurodivergent foster care leaver, Noise Petals weaves a powerful narrative exploring identity, resilience, and belonging. The story parallels the challenges faced in foster care, including systemic barriers and the search for home, told through the lens of a Zimbabwean folk tale. This fusion of sound, storytelling, and visual art offers audiences an evocative and deeply personal experience.
